Employment Plus up and running under new jobactive program

Today Employment Plus officially opened its doors as the largest not for profit organisation under the government’s new jobactive program.

Since outcomes of the Employment Services tender were released in March, the organisation has been working hard to ensure sites and operating procedures are ready in time for the July 1 launch.

The results of site relocations, refits, and overhauls were seen today, as doors opened to the public in 91 sites across Australia.

Assistant Minister for Employment, Luke Hartsuyker, and Federal Member for Deakin, Michael Sukkar, visited Employment Plus’ new Ringwood site on Tuesday, for its official opening and a tour of the innovative layout.

Employment Plus’ Managing Director Greg Moult said he was extremely proud of what the organisation had achieved.

“Our staff have been working around the clock to get these sites ready for launch, and the results really must be commended.

“We move into the jobactive contract with a new service delivery model and new site layouts that we are really proud of. The sites have a great feel to them – they are spacious and open-plan, with 85% of the site fit outs being sourced from and made by Australian businesses.”

Mr Moult said improvements in online resources and access to enhanced IT infrastructure will provide job seekers with the technology to dramatically improve their job search journey.

Along with site improvements, the Employment Plus brand has been given a refresh, reflecting their contemporary and professional outlook.

Enhanced training for new and existing staff has also been a priority, setting the organisation up for success.

“We have placed significant resources into ensuring that we have one of the best trained and skilled teams to deliver employment services in Australia”, Mr Moult said.

Mr Moult said he knows Employment Plus will drive exceptional results under the jobactive program.

“We are looking forward to delivering an uncompromisingly professional service to our job seekers and employers to ensure we have maximum impact in achieving long term, sustainable job outcomes.”
