Workforce Australia’s Points Based Activation System (PBAS) is designed to offer you greater flexibility and choice in fulfilling your mutual obligation requirements and to increase your employability. By engaging in various tasks and activities, you can earn points each reporting period to meet your personalised points target, which is conveniently listed on your Workforce Australia home page.

HOW IT WORKS

Points Requirements

Your point target is tailored to recognise your personal circumstances and local labour market conditions.

Select your activities

Select tasks and activities that spark your interest and align with your goals. Make sure they add up to your points target for the period.

Report on time

Submit your completed tasks and activities within the same reporting period. The reporting period ends on the same day each month which is displayed on your homepage.

Bank Points

If you exceed your point target in the current reporting period, additional points may be banked.

Deadline Reminder

Make sure your efforts are counted. Don’t forget to report before midnight on the final day of your reporting period.

IF YOU DON’T MEET YOUR OBLIGATIONS

Re-engagement

Missing your target without a valid reason may require you to complete extra activities.

Payment pause

In such cases, your payment may also be temporarily put on hold.
